Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy
Friday, June 9th, 2017
Occupational Therapy is a form of rehabilitation that focuses on helping patients meet daily goals by improving cognitive and visual skills.

Our occupational therapists help patients participate in the daily roles and activities that are most important to them. Occupational Therapy plays an important role in Traumatic Brain Injury recovery, where clinicians work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to help patients return to life activities. Patients receive a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive and visual skills that are important to everyday function--whether you are a student, athlete, employee, parent, or caregiver, our evaluations are specific to your life. Our occupational therapists develop a personalized plan based on your needs, and work with you one-on-one in a quiet environment.

We treat the following conditions through our occupational therapy program at the Rothman Concussion Network:

  • Traumatic Brain Injury, including mTBI/concussion
  • Stroke or Cerebrovascular Accident
  • Alzheimer's/Dementia
  • Neurological conditions that affect cognitive and visual function
