Scott Edmonds, OD, FAAO
Dr. Scott Edmonds is the Co-Director of the Low Vision and Contact Lens Service at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, the Chief Medical Officer at March Vision Care in Los Angeles, California and the CEO of The Edmonds Group consulting firm. He is a clinical assistant professor at Western University of Health Sciences - College of Optometry and a member of the adjunct faculty of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.
A 1976 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a 1980 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Edmonds is a past President of the Philadelphia Optometric Society, the Chester Delaware Optometric Society and the 1988 President of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. On the national level, he has served as the Chairman of a number of committees for the American Optometric Association and has recently completed his term on the American Council on Optometric Education.
After 30 years of work in vision rehabilitation for central vision loss, Dr. Edmonds expanded his rehabilitation work for patients with vision disabilities from acquired brain injury. Dr. Edmonds was named Pennsylvania Optometrist of the year in 2008 and is a prior recipient of the APEX Award for Publication Excellence for his vision blog.
